Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, production support spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify that employees, contractors, and/or visitors follow site access protocols, badge requirements, and posted property rules.
  • Report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior observed during patrols so the appropriate site representatives can respond.
