As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service to associates, visitors, and vendors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will support a secure environment through clear communication, teamwork, routine inspections, and integrity-focused service in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors at a retail distribution center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and assist with directing authorized personnel and vehicles to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Document incidents, access-control activities, and policy violations accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
