As a Security Guard Full Time Patrol Driver Incident Response in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and embody Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and support authorized entry procedures for campus facilities, events, and restricted areas.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and communications accurately in accordance with site-specific requirements.
