As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-tech aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to questions with strong customer service, and document activity using computer-based tools. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the facility by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor badges when authorized, and maintaining visitor and delivery logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, including observations from patrols, access activity, and follow-up actions taken per post orders.
