As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, and respond to concerns with calm professionalism. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, and medical location alerts, and coordinate with site leadership and first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor wayfinding and check-in expectations, and support staff with security-related requests in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
