About The Position
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Perimeter Rounds in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or tenant concerns, communicate clearly with site contacts, and document observations with attention to detail. Requirements
- Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies for a commercial real estate location, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, medical situations, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, loading and delivery zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and access concerns.
- Monitor access points and vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic, verify credentials when required, and assist with directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Complete detailed shift reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
