As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with customers and staff, report concerns, and support daily operations with strong communication and professionalism. Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Maintain readiness and professional handling of assigned armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or deliveries as required, and support security-related operations for a busy retail and distribution environment.
