Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism in an armed post.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify that visitors, employees, and contractors follow site entry and exit procedures in accordance with location requirements.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or security-related concerns, and communicate with site contacts, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
