The role involves monitoring alarm systems, responding to emergencies, conducting patrols, and supporting resident relations. Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Must be able to handle emergency situations in a calm manner.
Good mobility necessary to perform security checks on all areas of buildings and grounds.
Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test.
Applicants may be subject to a background check.
Employees in this position must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
Candidates must also complete a QuantiFERON Gold TB Blood Test as part of their pre-hire drug screen and physical.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in general building maintenance with basic knowledge of heating and cooling systems.

Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to all building and campus alarm systems, including resident medical emergencies.
Conduct temperature checks in boiler rooms and kitchens to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
Remove resident trash from hallways and empty garbage, recycling, and soiled linen bins each shift.
Patrol the campus, noting open garage doors, unlit post lights, and suspicious individuals or vehicles. Take appropriate action, including questioning individuals or contacting law enforcement.
Support resident relations by addressing concerns promptly, maintaining communication with the Facilities Supervisor, and completing assigned special projects.
