About The Position

As a Security Guard - Mobile Patrol in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed patrol officer at a high-tech data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will use a computer and/or tablet to document activity, communicate clearly with teams on site, and provide a professional customer service experience for staff and visitors. At Allied Universal, you will act with integrity while supporting a caring, agile, and reliable team.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and critical areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and direct visitors and contractors according to site procedures.
• Respond to alarms, calls for service, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and/or public response partners when required.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate shift updates, and assist with security-related investigations as directed.
