As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols and presence checks to help spot and report security-related concerns, support employees and visitors with clear communication, and provide customer service that reflects our caring culture. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will deliver through teamwork while acting with integrity in a fast-moving, innovative environment.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from appropriate personnel and/or public responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facility buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Monitor access points and identify irregular conditions such as unsecured doors, damaged fencing, and/or unusual activity; report observations through required logs, radios, and/or reporting systems.
• Support utility operations by controlling vehicle and pedestrian access where assigned, verifying credentials when applicable, and/or directing visitors and contractors to approved locations.
