Job Description As a Security Guard - Mobile Patrol Driver in Durham, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will monitor assigned areas, control access as needed, and document observations to support a professional environment aligned with Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, donors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance and operational concerns.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization as directed, and assisting with sign-in processes while supporting privacy and confidentiality expectations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to oncoming personnel and site contacts, and support compliance with post orders and client requirements.
