As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a retail distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming customer service experience through clear communication and timely response to alarms and access control activity. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail or distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including dock doors, parking lots, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and/or hazards.
• Control access through designated entry points by verifying identification and/or delivery documentation, monitoring visitor and contractor traffic, and directing individuals to the proper areas.
• Complete detailed reports of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates to supervisors and/or site management per post orders.
