About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard Mobile Patrol Driver to serve and safeguard clients at a retail and mall location in Paramus, New Jersey. The role involves driving patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service to visitors, shoppers, tenants, and staff. The position requires a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal’s driver policy requirements. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, identifying and reporting unusual activity or security concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations while following established site procedures.
Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and security activities, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
