As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Driver in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a dynamic retail and mall environment. Your presence will help create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors, while your exceptional customer service and communication skills will set you apart. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required as you monitor and support the location's security-related needs.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the retail or mall location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with conflict resolution and/or emergency protocols as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall environment, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or property damage to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
- Assist with access control measures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access within the retail or mall property.
- Provide visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other disruptive behavior in the retail or mall setting.
- Support Allied Universal management and local law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies within the location.
