As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Driver in Johnson City, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for all visitors and staff. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence, and interact with guests to provide outstanding customer service. This is a driving position, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience in customer service is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor and report any suspicious activity, theft, or policy violations within the premises to management and/or law enforcement as directed.
Assist with access control, including checking credentials and helping to manage foot traffic within the retail environment.
Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
Work collaboratively with retail staff and management to provide a secure and welcoming environment for shoppers and employees.
