As a Security Guard - Logistics in Summerville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, contractors, visitors, and/or deliveries, helping to support authorized access and orderly movement throughout the location.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in required reports, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
