About The Position

This role involves monitoring plant activity, conducting hourly rounds to check temperatures and gates, and overseeing associates and vehicle traffic entering and exiting buildings. The position also includes answering the switchboard after hours, billing loads, implementing company policies, and potentially operating company vehicles. Responsibilities extend to inspecting trailers for cleanliness and operability upon entry and receiving shipments of supplies and raw materials. The Security Guard Lead will also fill in where needed within the Security Department and cover for the Security Supervisor in their absence.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather and up/downstairs.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
• Attention to detail.
• Professional attitude.
• Ability to work any shift.
• Minimum High School diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual a plus.
• Strong computer skills preferred.
• Security experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cover for the Security Supervisor in their absence.
• Monitor plant activity.
• Conduct hourly rounds (checking trailer temps, room temps, and gates).
• Monitor all associates entering and exiting buildings, including car traffic.
• Answer switchboard after hours.
• Bill loads.
• Follow and implement company policies.
• Operate company-owned vehicles if needed.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness and operability as they enter the facility.
• Receive shipments of supplies and raw materials.
• Fill in the Security Department as needed.
