Requirements

  • Hospital-required vaccines are required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, urgent situations, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry while following visitor, staff, and patient support protocols.
  • Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
