As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Site Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to dependable operations through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and partner agencies by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government human services location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, perimeters, and surrounding property, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel, residents, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a respectful, orderly environment.
