About The Position

Established in 1918, Guardian Service Industries is a 4th generation family-owned Janitorial, Security, Pest Control, and Engineering & Operations staffing corporation. We provide a comprehensive range of essential facility management services to over 1,000 clients across various sectors, inclusive of commercial and government buildings, residential communities, schools, industrial facilities, transportation hubs, and retail outlets throughout the East Coast and New England. This role involves conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, monitoring for unusual activity, maintaining surveillance, and executing security measures. The position requires physical adaptability to changing site needs and priorities.

Requirements

Valid Security Guard License, as dictated by state legislation
8 hour + 16 hour certificates

Responsibilities

Conduct patrols of the site interior and perimeter to identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
Evaluate situations and make logical decisions on how to proceed and direct work.
Coordinate expedient responses to emergency conditions, including fires, safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
Handle undesired conduct, violations of building policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of guests, employees, patrons and property.
Monitor site for any unusual activity.
Report suspicious behavior via radio to the supervisor on duty.
Report any alarms similarly.
Maintain surveillance, including security camera footage.
Report any suspicious persons and/or packages.
Execute a number of comprehensive and integrated security measures and countermeasures.
Adapt physically to the changing needs and priorities of the site.
