As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a high-profile workplace, completing routine rounds, checking doors and access points, and maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, respond to questions and concerns, document activity, and partner with your team with integrity in a people-first culture.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor alarms, cameras and/or access points as assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards and/or policy violations per site instructions.
• Complete shift documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports and daily activity reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
