Join Allied Universal at a busy retail and/or mall location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support associates and guests with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting, contributing to a caring, people-first culture built on teamwork, integrity, and innovative, reliable service. This is an unarmed patrol post.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or suspicious conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, and alarms, and request additional support when needed.
• Monitor customer and associate activity, observe for potential theft indicators, and document observations while maintaining a professional, service-focused presence.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate key information to store leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and support access control and/or closing procedures as assigned.
