About The Position

As a Security Guard - Property Walking Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer-focused service. You will document observations and share timely updates with site contacts while working as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of lobbies, corridors, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Control access by verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, and directing guests to the proper location.
• Complete required security-related reports and shift logs, documenting patrols, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate updates to on-site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
