As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to requests, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Bring strong customer service and clear communication as you work with a reliable, agile team that leads with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and/or visitors by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, data center or telecom-related spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and documenting entries and exits per site policy.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating notifications, and supporting evacuations and/or shelter-in-place procedures as directed.
• Prepare clear reports of daily activities, patrol observations, and incident details, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership using required tools and/or logs.
