As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols of public areas and back-of-house spaces, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will assist guests and store teams with directions and customer service while documenting observations and reporting issues. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or suspicious activity in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor entrances and key areas, observe for policy violations, and assist with access control for employees, vendors, and/or deliveries according to post orders.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports, document incidents and observations, and communicate shift activity to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
