About The Position

As a Security Guard - Rover Rounds in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine foot patrols, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to concerns with clear communication, and deliver a welcoming customer service experience for tenants and visitors. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas such as lobbies, corridors, loading or service areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or property concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials when required, directing visitor traffic, and assisting with deliveries and contractor check-in in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting suspicious activity, assisting with disturbances, and coordinating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site management, and use security-related systems such as radios, phones, cameras, and/or access control tools as assigned.
