Security Officer - Unarmed Rounds Rover
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rounds Rover in West Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conducting routine rounds to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence to help discourage unwanted activity, assist visitors and staff with directions and questions, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Be able to ride a bike.
- Be able to lift more than 20 lbs, preferred.
- Be able to ride a bike for long periods of time, preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and observe activity through routine presence and/or available surveillance systems, reporting suspicious or unusual conditions to site leadership.
- Complete required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation in a timely manner while communicating clearly with site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
