As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a public-sector location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, residents, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of municipal buildings, public spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor for suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations, and take appropriate action to help to deter unwanted activity while maintaining a professional presence.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, calling for assistance, and coordinating with local first responders as needed.
Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership, and assist with access control and visitor management as required.
