About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rover in West Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to reports, document observations, and communicate clearly with team members and the public while providing strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public-facing location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate public services and/or site leadership as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, public areas, and designated points of access; assist with visitor directions and basic access control in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.
