About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rover in West Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to reports, document observations, and communicate clearly with team members and the public while providing strong customer service. Requirements

Be able to ride a bike.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public-facing location.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate public services and/or site leadership as needed.
Monitor entrances, public areas, and designated points of access; assist with visitor directions and basic access control in accordance with site guidelines.
Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.
