As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will document activities, report unusual conditions, and support staff and visitors with customer-focused service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and Allied Universal procedures, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned government facilities, surrounding grounds, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or policy violations, and take appropriate action to help to deter incidents while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation when appropriate and requesting assistance from emergency services as needed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and/or observations in written reports and logs, and communicate timely updates to supervision and authorized personnel.
