Job Description As a Security Guard - Unarmed Rover Patrol in San Francisco, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and media campus, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support employees and visitors with clear communication and customer service while documenting observations using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Experience providing customer service is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and/or media workplace.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and request additional support when needed.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access.
Monitor access points and common areas, perform security-related checks of doors, gates, and equipment, and assist with visitor and/or vendor entry processes as assigned.
Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
