You will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while assisting patients, visitors, and staff with respectful customer service and clear communication. Using an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will document activity with a computer and/or tablet, work as a team, and act with integrity in every interaction.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Have CPR certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and respond to alarms, calls for assistance, and other service requests; assist with visitor wayfinding and support staff with routine security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support when directed by site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Document observations, incidents, and unusual activity in written reports and logs, and communicate status updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
