As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and data center location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, with frequent vehicle patrols, access checks, and incident documentation. You will deliver helpful customer service and clear communication while supporting a culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, team-oriented, and grounded in integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or security license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving reports, gathering initial details, and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, loading docks, mechanical and utility spaces, and exterior perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access through security-related screening, verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary badges as directed, and maintaining required logs and reports.
  • Monitor security-related alarms, cameras, and building systems as assigned, document activity and observations, and communicate status updates to the site team using radios, phones, and/or written reports.
