Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol designated areas within a chemical or petrochemical location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. By leveraging technology and demonstrating our core values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach, you will help create a secure environment for all individuals on site.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access of personnel, visitors, and vehicles at designated entry and exit points within a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Verify identification and credentials to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including following emergency response protocols as appropriate for a chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, irregularities, or unusual situations according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as required.
