As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will be responsible for controlling access, conducting routine patrols, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by answering questions and assisting with directions or site-specific information.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site policies as directed by Allied Universal and client site management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe for irregularities or security-related concerns.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed to address access control and security-related issues.
