As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will be responsible for controlling access, conducting routine patrols, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Requirements

A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Control access to the location by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by answering questions and assisting with directions or site-specific information.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site policies as directed by Allied Universal and client site management.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe for irregularities or security-related concerns.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols.
Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed to address access control and security-related issues.
