As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor alarm systems and access logs. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering excellent customer service and clear communication. You will support an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
• Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or visitor credentials; issue badges or passes and maintain required access logs.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates and checkpoints, coordinate deliveries and contractors per site requirements, and report irregular activity through established communication channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating to site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including perimeter and restricted zones, to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
