As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will support access control by greeting staff and visitors, verifying credentials, managing badges, and monitoring entry points. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Bring strong communication and customer service while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $15.95 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Manage access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing temporary badges, and directing visitors according to site policies.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, document observations, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordinating with medical staff and/or local authorities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checking doors, restricted areas, and public spaces; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
