As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will interact with employees and visitors, manage access points, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of personnel and visitors according to site-specific procedures.
  • Assist with visitor and contractor management, including logging entries and exits and issuing badges as required.
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to inquiries and providing directions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical or petrochemical environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential hazards.
  • Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or hazards to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and site management.
  • Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and coordinating with first responders as needed.
