About The Position

Archon Protection is looking to immediately Hire Part-Time Security Event Guards in the Ventura County Area. As an Event Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residential communities or commercial facilities. This role requires high attention to detail, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. Extensive training will be provided by a Security Supervisor. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old (BPC Section 7582.8).
Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).
Undergo a criminal history background check through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) (BPC Sections 7581 and 7583.9).
Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Must be physically fit, able to stand or walk for extended periods.
Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
Good judgement and problem-solving skills.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Reliable and punctual.
Maintain flexibility to work daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
Basic smart phone knowledge.
Intermediate communication and customer service skills.
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.

Responsibilities

Make a positive impact by maintaining a visible and professional presence.
Patrolling assigned areas to deter unauthorized activities and ensure the safety of everyone present.
Monitor access points and remain vigilant to any suspicious parties or situations.
Collaborate with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services to coordinate security efforts and resolve any issues that arise.
Report any security related occurrences or incidents to the appropriate supervisor, law enforcement, or medical personnel.
Uphold company policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a high standard of professionalism and security effectiveness.
Conducting routine and regular foot patrols of the client location deterring suspicious activity and disturbances.
Enforcing community or facilities rules and regulations per client request.
Securing site amenity areas.
Take accurate and thorough notes of any unusual occurrences.
Protecting the company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times.
