About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard Enhanced Patrol Reporting in Wayne, New Jersey. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with a designated weekly shift requiring a six-month commitment. Employees may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, potentially building up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The position pays $19.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. The work involves unarmed patrols and site-specific security, access-control, customer-service, incident-response, and reporting duties.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers; verify credentials and follow visitor and vehicle entry procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports covering patrols, access activity, incidents, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
