As a Security Guard Enhanced Armed Part Time Driver in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role involves a fixed-shift commitment for six months and offers a "Claim-A-Shift Program" to pick up extra shifts, allowing for increased earnings and experience across multiple sites, with the option to work part-time or build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify access when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities according to site protocols.
