As a Security Officer Access Driver Patrol in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform mobile and/or foot patrols, and support access and security-related activities. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observed activity according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual behavior or conditions, and report concerns to site contacts and/or public officials when appropriate.
  • Support daily operations by following post orders, assisting visitors and staff with directions and information, and completing required reports related to incidents and/or patrol activity.
