As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a secure environment, and engage with visitors and team members to provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screening procedures for individuals and/or vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location, following site-specific policies and protocols.
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling access points to help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited items from entering the premises.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting personnel and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or security-related concerns observed during screening activities.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment focused on the needs of a logistics and distribution setting.
