Job Description As a Security Guard - Distribution Badge Screener in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing an approachable presence for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, manage access control, and deliver exceptional customer service, all while supporting the values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation that define Allied Universal. Your role is key in maintaining a secure environment and fostering a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns and observe for unusual activity.
  • Maintain accurate records of screening activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and incidents.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management processes at the logistics and distribution location.
