About The Position
Guardian Security Service NYC is seeking professional Security Officers and Concierge to support a commercial property in New York City. This is a client-facing role where officers help maintain the safety and security of the building while providing a professional presence for guests, and vendors. The position is ideal for individuals who demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a polished, professional demeanor appropriate for a residential environment. Security Officers in this role play an important part in maintaining a safe, well-managed property while delivering courteous and attentive service to tenants and visitors.
Requirements
- Valid New York State Security Guard License
- 8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training Certificate
- 16-Hour On-the-Job Training Certificate
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and polished demeanor
- Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods as required
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in residential security, corporate security, concierge security, or customer-facing security roles preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional and welcoming presence for residents, guests, and vendors
- Monitor building access points and maintain awareness of building activity
- Conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior areas of the building
- Monitor surveillance cameras and building security systems
- Respond to emergencies and security concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports
- Assist with package handling and vendor deliveries when required
- Maintain control and documentation of building and concierge keys
- Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations
- Coordinate with building management and property staff to support daily operations
- Enforce building policies while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
- Maintain clear communication during shift transitions to ensure operational continuity
