As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and contribute to a welcoming, orderly environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a caring, people-first culture.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government office location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entrances, public spaces, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, directing visitors to appropriate departments and maintaining a professional presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services when required.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related matters.
