About The Position

As a Security Guard College Campus Patrol Services in Upper Marlboro, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a college campus, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with professionalism. Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the campus environment, assisting with directions, escorts, and general information as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and contacting appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.
