About The Position
As a Security Guard College Campus Patrol Driver in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, medical situations, access concerns, and other critical campus events in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
