As a Security Guard Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving and armed post, offering the opportunity to support people first through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and an innovative approach to daily operations.

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, disturbances, and/or potential loss prevention concerns.
• Support store personnel and visitors during opening, closing, deliveries, and other daily operations while following post orders and armed post protocols.
